We don’t want to put too much pressure on you but people are expecting A LOT from you.
The good news is that the bar was set pretty low by your predecessor, so even if you do a terrible job it will be an improvement.
Additionally, you’re not going at it alone. I think everyone around the world will be doing their part to make sure you’re a great year. I know that our friends and colleagues from across the travel industry will be doing everything in their power to get back on track and we have some GREAT plans for you, check some of them out below.

Around the World in 80 Days with KAI
KAI is re-thinking the way we do what we do best - sharing updates and info with our industry friends. Since we don’t know when we’ll be able to meet with you in your world again, we figured we’d bring you our world virtually. We invite you to join us from January 11th through April 2nd as we travel Around the World in 80 Days.
Each week will focus on a different country or region in which KAI has partners. The sessions will be hosted by the KAI team and our friends from around the globe. They will be fun and educational, and they will certainly keep us all dreaming. We look forward to exploring with you!
The sessions will only last about 30 minutes each and we will host a morning and afternoon session on each topic to hopefully give you the flexibility to join for all topics that interest you. Registration is required so click the button below to sign up for the sessions that interest you.
RepFest 2021 is Coming!
In the final week of October 2020, KAI partnered with 4 other luxury travel representation companies to bring a virtual travel conference unlike anything the industry had ever seen. With more than 130 sessions on 5 virtual stages over 2 days, RepFest was an informative and fun Celebration of Travel, with all profits benefitting our chosen charity, Every Mother Counts. For those that participated, thank you!
We hoped RepFest would be a success, but we had no idea just how incredible it would be. After an outpouring of support, love, and thanks from the travel industry, the RepFest team got together and decided that you were right, we should do this again. Tickets are now on sale for RepFest 2021, coming April 20-22, 2021. This year’s event will be bigger and even better than the last. Expanded from two to three days, we hope RepFest 2021 will bring you inspiration while we anxiously await for open borders around the world. Positive Vibes Continue in the New Year
Last May, as the reality of the pandemic was settling in, and the news everyday seemed bleak, we decided to shine a spotlight on some of the more upbeat, uplifting, and overall positive stories that were not getting the headlines. Over the course of the year in our weekly Positive Vibes newsletter, we celebrated births, weddings, and awards for our friends in the travel industry. We rejoiced in incredible stories from all over the world of everyday people stepping up and lending a hand to their neighbors during these unprecedented times. And we were delighted to share many stories about nature’s resilience, including the population growth of endangered animals and the discovery of new species.
If you would like to take a walk down memory lane, our previous issues can be found here in the archive. We will continue to send you these kinds of stories every Friday to hopefully bring you a little bit of happiness at the end of your week.
Getting Back to Traveling - With YOU!
We believe that the best way to learn about a place is to visit it yourself. This is why one of the best parts of our job is to take you to our most favorite places and properties around the globe, and show you just why our clients are the best in the world. We are busy working with our partners to put together some incredible Business Development Trip (or FAM) opportunities for you to experience the KAI Collection and also show your clients that it’s not only safe, but a great time to travel.
In the meantime, if you happen to be traveling on your own to anywhere we have clients, please get in touch! While we can’t take you there now, our clients would love to help with your arrangements if you are making your own way to their ‘neck of the woods’.
KAI President Dave Kartagener will be heading to Kenya in a couple of weeks to see what it’s like on the ground and catch up with our amazing partners. Be sure to follow his travels on KAI’s Instagram and he’ll be happy to share his experience and answer any questions you might have once he’s back.
